Following on from our first themed issue in Winter 2017, we are very happy to include our next theme covering the Internet of Things. We have a range of diverse subjects covered, including ‘The IoT from A-Z’ and ‘The Internet of Medical Things’. Contributors include Hazel Woodcock, Victoria Bunyard, Aidan Hird and Theo Tryfonas.
We are also very happy to include a one-off feature by Luke Edelston about his experiences of Transport Systems while travelling across Asia; East v West, which is better?
Included in the Spring issue is a return of our regular features, with Ivan Mactaggart CEng MIET MINCOSE giving us his latest ‘President’s Corner’, as well as answering more of your questions in ‘Ask the President’. Rob Welby from Arcadis is the latest to give his responses in ‘I am a Systems Engineer and I Do…’ and we have CAR reviewer John Lomax from Airbus for our latest ‘I am a Volunteer and I do…’.
Other Chapter news includes the announcement of our latest publications, including our new book, ‘Don’t Panic! The Absolute Beginner’s Guide to Model-Based Systems Engineering’. Rupert England from the HCSE Working Group reports back on the group’s activities and Tim James from the Bristol Local Group runs through the first instance of running a new style of learning workshop, called ‘InDevelopment’.
